This page contains area worksheets for square, rectangle, parallelogram, rhombus, trapezoid and circles and triangles. Area worksheets for polygons such as pentagon, hexagon, octagon and other irregular shapes will be added soon.

Area worksheets based on pictures also included to visualize the figure and to understand the real life applications.

Area of Square Worksheets:

Area of a square = Side * Side.

Based on this basic formula, kids can work with this area of square worksheets. Worksheets based on pictures and finding side of a square from the area are also included.

Area of Rectangle Worksheets:

Area of a rectangle = Length * Width

Worksheets are based on finding the area of a rectangle from the given length and width or find the missing length or width from the area. Area picture activities also included.

Area of Parallelogram Worksheets:

Area of a parallelogram = Base * Height
Free area worksheets based on parallelogram.

Area of Rhombus Worksheets:

Area of Rhombus = 1/2 * d1 * d2, where d1 and d2 are the lengths of the diagonals.

Area of Trapezoids Worksheets:

Area of a trapezoid = 1/2 * (b1 + b2) * h

Base 1 (b1) and base 2 (b2) are the length of the parallel sides of trapezoids and height h is the distance between the parallel sides.

Area of Circle Worksheets:

Area of a circle = pi * r^2

Where r is the radius. pi is a constant and is equal to 22/7 or 3.14 (rounded to hundredth place). Also diagonal = 2 * radius; radius = half of diameter.

Area of Triangle Worksheets:

Find the area of triangles using basic formula. Worksheets based on unique formula for special triangles such as equilateral, isosceles, scalene and right angled triangles.

Area of Shapes Using Graph:

Use the shapes given in the grid to find the area. Count the number of boxes in the grid and the total gives you the area of the regular or irregualr shapes.
